What we hold, and what we publish

The registry is deliberately built to need very little about you. No identity documents, no financial account details, no proof of income. This page sets out exactly what is collected, what appears in public, and how to have it changed or removed.

What we collect

Eight fields, and nothing beyond them

These are the only fields the registration form contains. There is no hidden collection, and no field is added without this page being updated first.

Collected when you register a pledge

  • Full name Required. Held internally to identify your entry so you can amend or withdraw it. Never published.
  • Country and city of residence Required. Published as part of the public registry and the country breakdown.
  • Email address Required. Used to send your reference number and to notify you if the status of a principle changes. Never published, never sold.
  • WhatsApp or phone number Optional. Used only if we cannot reach you by email about your own entry.
  • Investment categories Required. Published in aggregate and against your anonymised registry row.
  • Pledge amount (USD) Required. Published against your anonymised registry row and counted in the public total.
  • Professional skills and expertise Optional. Used to build the aggregate skills picture; free text is not published verbatim.
  • Conditionality agreement Required. We record that you agreed, and when.

  • No bank account, card or payment details There is no mechanism to pay anything through this site.
  • No proof of income, employment or source of funds No documents of any kind are requested or accepted.
  • No biometric or identity verification Nothing that could be used to impersonate you elsewhere.

Storage, retention and your rights

How long it is kept, and how to get it removed

You can see, correct or delete your entry at any time, without giving a reason and without affecting anything else.

  • Where it is stored Form submissions are collected and stored by JotForm, our forms provider, acting as a data processor on our behalf. Transfer is over TLS. Access is limited to the small team that operates the registry, under individual logins.
  • Third parties we use JotForm (form submissions) and Google Analytics (visit statistics). Both are bound to use the data only as instructed. No one else receives your personal data, and it is never sold.
  • How long For as long as your pledge stands. If you withdraw it, the personal fields are deleted within 30 days; an anonymous, non-identifying record may remain in historical totals.
  • Access Ask for a copy of everything held against your entry. Supplied within 30 days.
  • Correction Change any field — including the amount and sectors — at any time.
  • Deletion Withdraw the pledge and have the personal fields erased. No explanation required.
  • Objection and portability Object to a particular use, or ask for your data in a machine-readable format.
  • Analytics This site uses Google Analytics (GA4) to count visits and see which pages are read. It records page views, approximate location from IP, device and browser type, and referring site. It is never joined to your registry entry, and Google is not permitted to use it for advertising.
  • Cookies Only two kinds: what is strictly necessary to serve the page, and the Google Analytics cookies described above. No advertising or cross-site tracking cookies. Browser "do not track" and analytics blockers are respected — nothing on this site depends on analytics running.
  • Children The registry is not intended for anyone under 18 and entries from minors are removed when identified.

To exercise any of these, write to info@pakistandiasporafund.com with the reference number issued when you registered. We answer within 30 days.

Status of this policy

This policy describes how the platform is designed to handle personal data. It has not yet been reviewed by a qualified lawyer in each jurisdiction registrants write from, and should be checked against GDPR, UK GDPR, PIPEDA and applicable US state law before public launch. Where this page and the final legal review disagree, the legal review governs.

  • No funds are collected, transferred, or owed at any point. A pledge is a non-binding, good-faith statement of intent — not a contract, a security, or an offer to invest.
  • Not affiliated with the Government of Pakistan or with any political party, state institution or licensed financial entity.
